When the time for curative treatment has passed, our hospice team provides care focused on symptom and pain relief, emotional and spiritual support and other services that can make all the difference for individuals and their family. It’s never easy to let go, but with the help of hospice caregivers and volunteers, it can be a way to transition from life, at home, surrounded by the people you love.
Local physicians have entrusted their patients’ care to Michigan Community VNA since 1898, When your doctor decides that care at home is right for you, our skilled and experienced team works closely with you and your family. We not only give you the care you need, we help you understand your condition so you can manage your health and get on with your life.
At Michigan Community VNA the old adage-an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure- is more than a saying, it’s a way of life. We offer innovative, practical programs and services that give you, your family, your policy holders and your workforce the tools needed to get and stay on the path of wellness.
“Our nurse, U.C., was highly professional and always ready to provide any information we needed. She had answers to our questions and responded in a way we could understand. She has an outstanding personality and is a great young lady overall. We love hospice. Keep doing what you do best, being a great, caring organization. Thank you.”

I was very grateful for the nurses who helped my mom (and me) in her last four months. Mom had lived in home, with dementia, CHF, blood pressure issues, and a blood thinner that wasn't a lot of fun to negotiate for the last 4.5 years of her life before I was unable to care for her(too many stairs and she had lost the ability to walk, so I had to carry her from room to room to toilet, bathe, ect.) Your team was attentive and compassionate. My mom died peacefully. I was so blessed to have your team in my life.

"I only wanted to use your agency (MC VNA) because you took such loving care of my mother and I knew you would do the same for me"
