Has your child experienced the death of a loved one? Are you seeking support to help your child cope with their loss?
Kamp Kids Matter is a one day camp designed to provide a safe, supportive environment for children and teens to express their grief and learn to cope with their loss. Children express their grief differently than adults. A child’s grief may go unrecognized because children often express their grief through behavior rather than words.
Kamp Kids Matter provides children and teens a day of arts and crafts, music and dancing and age-specific group grief activities. Any child in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties who have experienced a loss may attend.
There is no cost to attend this camp. Funding for this event is generously provided by The Women’s Committee for Hospice Care.
